Matthew Deister joined TCFD as an explorer at the age of 17. He enjoyed it so much he went on to get his Firefighter 1 and continued climbing the ranks. He has been a Lieutenant, Captain , and now the Assistant Chief for the last two years. He was also so impacted by the explorer program that he is now the Advisor and one of the teachers for the group.
